About Iight Bet, We Locked In
This photo-zine comes out of a 2025 Summer spent documenting street boxing at Wingate Park in Brooklyn.
On certain weekends, a section of the park became an improvised arena where fighters, from seasoned amateurs to first-timers, stepped up to test themselves.
What began as casual matches quickly drew crowds, energy, and a sense of community. The photographs focus less on winners and losers, and more on the culture around the fights: the pre-fight rituals, the intensity in the ring, and the respect that followed.
It’s a look at how boxing, even outside gyms and official venues, becomes a way to connect, compete, and tell stories in public space.
